Dancers who sit IDTA exams from Grade 4 and above and achieve an overall mark of 92 or higher and a technique mark of 54 are selected to attend the IDTA Theatre Dance Awards in the following February.
In June 2024 Lara was chosen to attend the Theatre Dance Awards for her Grade 4 Contemporary Modern Jazz exam and in the September Leon was chosen for his Grade 5 Ballet exam.
In February 2025 both Lara and Leon travelled down to Telford to attend the IDTA Theatre Awards. There they both took part in a workshop to learn choreography before competing to win one of many awards up for grabs. Lara was one of 160 dancers and Leon one of 153 out of a total of 7000 dancers who sat a Grade exam.
We are so incredibly proud of both Lara and Leon for being nominated to attend the Theatre Dance Awards, it is an incredible achievement and such a great opportunity for dancers to attend.
