Sarah

Dance Teacher - IDTA Tc. L4Dip - HND Dance

Sarah began dancing with JHM at the age of 5 where she took Ballet, Tap and Jazz classes. During her time at JHM, she took many classes in a variety of styles including contemporary, Disco, Street, Pom and Acro and also competed with the competition team.

After such an enjoyable and inspiring time at JHM, she decided she wanted to take dance to a professional level by attending Dance for All Theatre School in Edinburgh to achieve an HND in Professional Dance Performance. During her three years at college, she studied an even wider variety of styles expanding to include Spanish, National, Musical Theatre and Commercial, completing exams in many of these styles and taking part in a variety of performance opportunities. Before graduating in 2021, she achieved a Distinction in her Advanced 1 Jazz exam and also sat her Advanced Foundation Ballet.

Since graduating she has achieved her IDTA Level 4 Theatre Craft Teaching Diploma, Acrobatic Arts- Module 1 and returned to JHM to teach, hoping to give the students the same encouraging environment to learn and grow as she had experienced while at JHM. Sarah recently spent 3 months in Greece on her first professional dance contract, as an animator and performer.
